I just had 20min in penalties because EVERY time i tried to poke check or sticklift for the first half of the game I managed to get a penalty. Whats the code to make it so that happens to the other person instead?

Not a great sim for :flames. I can't remember my exact record, but I was 3 over .500, so I dropped two off that pace.

No injuries though, so I guess that is something.

I have never had so many PP's in one game. I was on the PP so much it was getting tough to play on the PP because both my lines were dead LOL every time you got a penalty even I was getting upset

:xcheers::gift::rudolf::santa:THE BLUTH COMPANY CHRISTMAS HUT TOURNAMENT:x)::xsign::xtree::xbg:

I was thinking that since the league shuts down over Christmas for what, a few days/a week, that for those interested and available i'd organize a little HUT tournament for Bluth members. We're still about 3-4 weeks away from this time period but i figure why not get it started now? It would give some guys a little bit of time to build up their teams and pucks.

Nothing too complex with rules (no caps on Offense/Defense/Goaltending, no ice time rules). Seeding will be based on current Overall Leaderboard rankings and depending on how many people we get will determine if each round is single elimination or best of; 3, 5, or 7

Maybe a 5-10k puck buy in, winner gets 80%, 2nd place get's 20%. If you're interested let me know via PM or post in the Discussion Thread. Maybe Argar can use his super-mod abilities and add a post in the first page that he can update and we can all reference.

Should be fun, hopefully this gets a lot of interest

I'm in.

I should probably update the standings to actually reflect the wild card, since that is what is most important.

Still confused. It's top 3 from each division and 2 wild cards? How does the seeding/matchups work?

The worst wildcard team plays the best divisional leader.

So in the East, Washington will play Detroit in the first round, in the West LA plays Calgary. (Assuming EA followed real NHL formats)

Correct me if I'm wrong here:

Worst wildcard plays best divisional leader (ex washington vs detroit and LA vs Calgary)
Other wildcard plays other divisional leader (carolina vs mon and Winnepeg vs Chicago)
Then the last 4 matchups are 2nd and 3rd best division teams within the same division (pit vs isles, toronto vs florida, col vs nash, edm vs anaheim)

Is that right?

Ok according to the article Argar has, this seems to be correct. How about round 2 now?

(Although in my experience, I"ve never had to worry about the 2nd round lol)

Second round would have the best team from each division playing the worst team from their own division. I would assume if there are no division teams left the best team in the conference would play the worst team left.

Also the standings listed above are incorrect, as Calgary has fewer games played and a higher ROW. They are the first wildcard.

if we end up playing eachother in the 1st round.. will it be the first time either of us have made it to the 2nd round? #penscup2014bluthcompany #bookit

I think the 2nd round is then seeded by points right?

Just look at how much worse the West is this season, kind of ridiculous. Look at the disparity between wildcard teams...

2nd round is not seeded by points. Best team from each division plays the worst team in that division. Once a wild card team is set in a division they stay there, so no team will play the opposite division till the conference finals.

So it goes like this:

Division Semis
Division Finals
Conference Finals
Cup Finals
