Under a 100% tax this is what teams would pay

Anahiem $14.4 Million
Boston $5.8 Million
Colorado $20.6 Million
Dallas $27.6 Million
Detroit $37.7 Million
Los Angeles 6.1 Million
Montreal $2.7 Million
New Jersey $8.1 Million
NY Islanders $3.8 Million
NY Rangers $27 Million
Philly $25.1 Million
St.Louis $21.2 Million
Toronto $21.8 Million
Washington $11.1 Million

$233 Million created by tax to be distributed

Rhougly $14.5625 Million for 16 teams under the luxury tax. Okay this helps the teams under the tax, $233 million generated is another $233 million put on to payrolls so to say Detroit will be paying $115.6 Million my god. This could drastically put down salaries which team will want pay to $37.7 million. NHL should take along hard look at this proposal and consider I think this one is coming from the heart.

If you had a system, where some teams are paying $80mil in payroll and taxes, while other teams are paying $40mil, and half the time the team with the higher payroll wins, then financial parity wouldnt be needed. In fact the financial disparity would have created competitive parity. Can it be done? I think yes.
