It would certainly be amazing to get Kakko this year. Talk about a massive boost to our secondary scoring.

Plus, for whatever reason the Finns tend to be the players I like most in the NHL so adding another one to the Avs lineup would only push that notion further for me

My top 10:
1. Kakko (coin toss between the two but have Kakko ahead due to team need)
2. Hughes
3. Turcotte
4. Byram (very close between him and Turcotte)
5. Cozens
6. Podkolzin
7. Krebs (very very close between him and Pod)
8. Dach
9. Zegras
10. Soderstrom

Boldy just out of top-10.

Really like Heinola, Seider, Broberg and Knight with our own first.

I like Saville with our 2nd round pick if we don't get Knight.

Carl is 33 years old.

I know those Swedes age like fine wine, but they will likely catch him.

Not too high on Seider, I also feel like Broberg might get too much hype than he deserves due to the Hlinka. Knight or Heinola would be amazing though!

I wanna see Avs get second overall, then a Kakko fist pump when Hughes gets picked first overall

And right after the fist pump... we hear... “we have a trade to announce.”

Oh it would be so fun to see BleedWell explode.

TPS lost a playoff game 5-3 tonight. Kaapo Kakko had two goals, an assist and a disallowed goal following a coach's challenge.

The more that I see Kakko, the more that I want him over Hughes.

Although I'm biased when it comes to a big powerful player versus the smaller elite ones.
He plays alot like Landeskog in his earlier more aggressive years. But his skill level is significantly higher.

Yeah I think I'm leaning Kakko at this point as well. Would be ecstatic with either him or Hughes but Kakko right now looks to be just what the doctor ordered for a team with too many smurfs.

I’m still leaning towards Hughes, but Kakko is a nice consolation prize. I think Kakko is more NHL ready. I just don’t think we should pass on Hughes. He’s dynamic.

My god Bleedwells head might explode just from the site of seeing Foppberg join the Kakko side

I dont care who we get as long as we get 1 or 2. Hughes is the best player but Kakko is my favorite player and the way he plays the game would certainly fit this team extremely well.

I think both Hughes or Kakko would be insanely good for this team.

Hughes with his skating and passing would turn someone like Jost into a goal scorer or bump landy down and put Jost with the big boys.

Kakko with his possession and ability to drive play would open things up for a skater/passer like kerfoot.

Just so many more options with either of these guys. Hopefully can add one top 6 fwd this offseason as well

The top-2 are very close IMO with maybe the edge going to Hughes as he is so dynamic but the difference between the two is not large enough to go with him. IMO this team is in a much greater need of a player like Kakko so if we are #1 Kakko is my pick.

To those starting to come around to Kakko...welcome to the dark side!!!!!!!
