If the Canucks win #2 I wonder how much would they'll be willing to pay to move up one spot to get the other Hughes? Having both Hughes brothers just in time to succeed the Sedins...and moving to 1OA to get the last one (just like they did in 1999). That'd be quite the story.

A young core of Hughes - Hughes - EP - Boeser would be scary.

If we get the 1OA I'd not mind getting a haul from the Canucks to downgrade to Kakko.

How many NHL ready guys are their in the first round? 2-3?
Not sure how the other teams would view these players but as far as the Avs are concerned I would say one: Cozens.

Hughes could be as well depending if they think he is ready physically but looking at the way it went with Jost they might decide to give him some AHL time first. Hughes has the skating though which is something Jost didn't have. It could make a big difference in their decision. Kerfoot had the speed compare to Jost and, although older, he made the jump without too much problems.

The way they have been bringing up Rantanen and Kaut I would be very surprised if they don't keep Kakko in the AHL for a season to get use to NA hockey.

Cozens is a different story. By the time TC starts he will be close to NHL ready physically. He only needs to put on some more wait and get a little stronger. His speed and the way he plays are already NHL ready. With that being said and considering that for him it is either back to the WHL or NHL, they will most likely keep him up.

Dach could also be another one for the same reasons as Cozens.

Imagine Jack saying he'll sign only with the Nucks

Yeah. Its ridiculous. I feel exactly the same way and Kakko is my favorite prospect in this years draft but some of the nonsense from Finns makes it slightly harder to be a fan of his.
Well that must be tough for you mr "Hughes is my favourite, no wait! Kakko is... or is it Hughes or..."

Kakko has had some time at center already. If I'm Sakic, I pit him at center immediately. If he is bad, he can always fall back to wing.

I'd be possibly more excited with Knight with the AVS pick than anyone with the Sens pick not named Hughes or Kakko. Not because I don't like the rest of the top 10 but man, I want Knight. AVS never, ever drafted a potential franchise goalie.

I don't care if he takes time to develop, whoever they pick in that range (assuming it's going to be roughly in the #15-#20 range) is going to take time anyway.

Byram is going to be a beauty.

Overall the top 10 looks really good this year, we might even get 2 top 10 picks which would be insane.
