I wonder what we could get from Ottawa if we packaged Duclair and Rieder and agreed to take back the MacArthur contract.

Both Chlapik and Jaros are very intriguing to me.

To OTT:
Rieder(50%)
Duclair
MacInnis

To ARI:
Chlapik
Jaros
MacArthur

Probably to much value coking back to us, huh?

I'd love for the question "are we buyers or sellers" to be an actual question and not a joke, in f***ing December. Hell it would have been a joke a few months ago too.

That's one way to get them to offset the extra value coming our way.

I think I'd move Hjalmarsson at the deadline too. Get him healthy, play him 20 games, then sell.

As much as I agree with the notion that we should sell him, I highly doubt we brought him in just to sell him off at the deadline for spare parts, no matter how badly he might be playing.

I'm gonna punt and say it's gotta be for a really good return. I basically agree with the idea that they didn't bring him in just to trade him later but I think if they could get more than they paid the FO would have to consider it.

It would be another thing if he came in here and helped solidify things along with Stepan as expected, but it hasn't happened. Even though I don't think that's Hammer's fault it is what it is.

I honestly don't think it will be too difficult to get more than what we paid for Hammer (Murphy and Dauphin).

Always thought Hammer was more of a top 4 guy. Top pairing was a stretch. We'd then have to acquire another top pairing guy this summer. Question is then who? And how do we go about it? Plus, I want one that actually shoots RD.

Think Toronto would do something around Hjalmarsson and Liljegren?

OEL - xxxxx
Goligoski - Demers
Chychrun - Liljegren

Of course, with some lotto luck that becomes even better.

Voted nothing, as I think that most expiring contracts are gone, but not many of those players are getting a huge return, unless part of a bigger package. Hard to sell something that isn't top-tier talent.

But this is the Coyotes so they would announce the move to Houston the day after the draft.

Trading the dude is business and I'm okay with it if it improves the Coyotes. Saying he plays bad is puzzling. He plays very well and was perhaps the best D prior to his last injury. I'd rather keep him and see how he gels with Chychrun.

I'm not sure why they are so silent on his most recent injury. Besides a possible concussion, it looked like he dicked his wrist or shoulder, when he went into the glass.

Anyone wanna sell me on dahlin? Ignorant to the prospect game.
Franchise D man, the kind that plays almost half the game in all situations and likely gives you a chance to be winning that half. The other two pairings or D are much easier to find and use to their strengths as you can use them for minutes and situations where there are more likely to be successful. Guys like Doughty, Hedman, Pronger, and so on make life easier for coach and teammates, everyone who plays with them look and get better. He's the real deal.
