Probably one of our best drafts overall, and now none of them are on the team a decade later. Say something nice about them.

Of the three I miss O'Reilly the most. I really wish they had found a way to work and signed him long-term to be our 2C. The other two, though great in their way, are flawed players. O'Reilly is nearly perfect at what he does and only seems to falter when he's expected to be something he's not.

I love Compher and Zadorov, but they haven't yet managed to fill the O'Reilly-shaped hole in my heart.

Don't forget the TOR 2020 3rd from the Barrie trade. The gift that keeps on giving...

Super sad seeing the last of these big 3 gone. Obviously ROR is the big fish here but the Barrie trade hurts the most IMO. Biggest team guy here.

This really hammers home the sentiment that nothing gold ever stays the same. These were all very good players when they left us and I think that makes it hurt even more. It makes me want to appreciate the guys we have even more while they are still with us. One day we'll be saying goodbye to our core guys. I just hope the memories tied to them are more successful ones than the ones related to the 2009 draft.

This kind of hammers home the options one can obtain if you do a good job of drafting. Duncan Siemans, Connor Bleakley drafts not so much.

Some drafts are also simply more bereft of talent...and the problem is hype doesn't allow people to accept it for what it is even years later.

This is the draft that bought Pracey way too many years as our head scout and we paid heavily for it.

Would be nice to still have ROR and Barrie but Newport gonna Newport.

I think we've purged our organization of that cancer now at least.
