Subban took them farther than Weber ever did, problem is Poile sold low. The Johansen trade is the one that hurts them the most though....they could really use Seth Jones right now.

Acquiring Subban was a smart move by the Preds.

Sucks that he declined the way he did, but man he was a beast in his first 2 years in Nashville IMO, Ekholm-Subban pairing was arguably the best pairing in the league during the 16-17 season. I watched them a lot for those seasons before they fell of last year.

Muzzin's stabilizing presence on the blue line was very noticeable last night. It's great to have him back.

huh? I mean, everyone has off games defensively, but if you wanna take shots at Matthews' defensive game for some reason this wasn't a great game to decide to trot out that agenda. Matthews was solid.

Specifically late in the game. He needs to make situational plays there. His last sift was a disaster, even though he scored, it was wonder the Preds didn't.

Overall in the game, he was fine... but he has to be able to bring that shut down effort late in a game.
