The comments from Cassidy back to Krecji were distasteful. After all he did for this team and city.

I would say that he didn't need to name names with Riley Nash and Kuraly. That was foolish. It comes off pretty distasteful, I agree.
Bergeron once asked to play with more offensive players. Some players earn that right. Bergeron did and Krejci did as well.

I'm not a big fan of the Krejci comments. He's no longer on the team and doesn't have a pulse on what's going on with it.

Perfection wasn't working, with Pasta going thru struggles, Hall finding it hard to drive the 2nd line, and the team as a whole was finding it hard to score goals. That's why Pasta was moved off Perfection. I guarantee you if Pasta was scoring and Hall was pushing the pace and putting up points, Perfection would still be in tact. This was a move out of necessity, not out of some sort of Krejci spite. Krejci should kindly STFU.

How many one line teams have won a cup in the last ten years?

Come on. It was a joke.

These are grown men with egos who routinely bust chops on a daily basis. I’m happy Bruce can give a little back…I’m sure we’d all want to in that situation when a guy calls you out from another country.

If Krejci was willing to come back I’m sure Bruce would pick him up at Logan. He has Haula playing 2C for crying out loud.

with all the drama currently surrounding Cassidy and from other reports if it was a joke it’s not well spirited

I loved Krech as a Bruin. That said......

If he is coming back to Boston then I think management, coaches, and players should have an interest in what he has to say.

If he is not coming back to Boston, he should shut his trap about what is going on with the team right now.

At best it's disrespectful to his friends who are still there. They are trying to achieve something -- something he is no longer a part of by his choice. Krechi chiming in on why the top line was not split up when he was there is useless, serves no purpose, and is just whining (EVEN the complaint has merit). It's over and his comments will make f*** all difference to what happened in the past.

Should have had the maturity to politely decline answering the question.

Why should he? It's still a lot of his friends and the franchise he gave 12+ years to and helped lead to a Cup.

Secondly, he was making a comment about his time there, not the team now. It was a "sure, now they move Pastrnak off the 1st line. Why didnt they do it when I was there" comment.

For as many sh*t sandwiches they made him eat with the linemates they gave him while never moving Marchand or Pasta off Bergeron's wing and all the crap he took from the media and fans here he absolutely has the right to fire a few shots across the bow if he wants to. He has earned that right and then some.

Because he's not on the team. And his comments are not in any way possible going to help his friends. It's not constructive criticism or advice. It's just "should have done that years ago" -- which, again, at best doesn't help his friends.

Maybe you and I should go back to one of our old jobs and weigh in on what was screwed up when we were there? After all, we probably have some old friends there still and we did devote our years to the cause.

Will go over well, right????

All of this stuff with Krejci's comments and Butch's 1 sentence response last night is nothing but click-bait bullshit.

People are blowing this way out of proportion.

And there's the issue of tone, expression, and translation here. Lots of people are making assumptions about what all this is and what it means. Sure, he could have said no comment, but there is no way to know if he was really bitching and taking a shot, or just making an observation. And he said at the end (if that was all he said and not an edited article where half his remarks were not reported because that never happens!) that he didn't blame the coach, but funny how it is assumed he was just throwing that in. Or maybe he meant that it was always defensible to keep that line together and he understood. Not a lot here to run with.

So the only people that can talk about the Bruins are players that are currently on the team?

That was clearly a shot over the bow. And believe me Bruce knows cause he shot back .
