love this deal. so basically they traded ryon healy for profar
this means lowrie's gone which kinda bums me out but is probably the better move considering his age. profar is coming off a career year and is the perfect candidate to blossom under bomel
it'll be interesting to see what they do with barreto after acquiring profar. looks like he'll either be moved to the OF or dealt. personally i hope they keep him because i really think he's got some talent.

Lowrie re-signing was always a longshot. He and his wife are Houston natives so I expect him to sign somewhere near the Mississippi.
Profar for cheap is a solid deal. He can play multiple positions and is starting to put it together at the plate. Low risk, high reward potential trade where the a's give up no one of great value.
