What I think happened is other teams might have offered a tad more but wanted the Indians to take salary back, and they did not want to.




As for the 'Cash Consideration' tweet above, it looks like only 500K so Rangers basically assume his full salary, 35M 2 years.

Agreed. He was horrible last year, but his career 134 ERA+ is Hall worthy.

From ‘14-18 he was top 3 in Cy Voting 4/5 years including two wins. Injuries threw him off this year but you could argue he’s still one of the best in the game when healthy.

it sounds like these FO guys are a lot more higher on clase than the general public is

but i can see why. 21 year old hard throwing reliever. his numbers so far in the minors and his stint with texas last season have been outstanding

Yeah some of these teams are going too gaga for relievers now, exhibit A my GM taking back that ridiculous Cano contract AND giving the Mariners two top prospects to get Diaz.
