It really is. 18 points, +6 on a poor defensive team. I could see him easily fetching a 2nd rounder.

Maybe a 2nd and 4th.

It's a sellers market. All but a few teams will think they still have a shot to make it. Combine that with those desperate GM's whose rope is getting just a little too tight, and we could see some tremendous over-payments.

That's why, regardless of how close the Flames are to a playoff spot at the deadline, assuming they don't have a spot, it's in their best interests to utilize smart asset management and move a few guys like Stempniak, Comeau and maybe even Iginla. The returns could stave off a year or so of a potential rebuild.

When it comes to sending a message to management one thing people can do is publically thank Iggy, Kipper and all for their efforts in Flames uniforms, give them permission to go win a cup somewhere and welcome them back when they return (Whether it's to play, work, or simply enjoy a decent opening ceremony at a home game).

The owners simply do not seem willing to make decisions and show leadership so maybe the fans have to step in and show them how it's done.

I think Stempniak is definitely worth a 2nd rounder the way he has played this year
More offensive production, good skater, reliable, has some size and can play the PK; who doesn't want that from a 2nd line winger??

If the Pens don't end up landing a bigger fish trying to find a RW to play with Crosby - I think Stempniak would work perfectly. He could go all Chris Kunitz playing with Crosby and put up some ridiculous numbers.

Its might be a bit premature, but im starting to think Stempniak might be able to return a 1st if we package him with something small..its a total sellers market this year, and there are several teams who will need wingers upgrades with a small cap hit.

Matching lines for one. Home team has last change, can put the line out against who they think will be most effective.

Calgary has been awful at home this year.

Calgary has been awful at home this year.

We have played almost every teams backup as well...

Our record really flatters us. Going against Gustavsson and Bachman doesnt exactly make us a great team.

They've also played against our backup goalie. Or our backup backup goalie. Or our backup backup backup goalie.

Kipper played with pride. We got totally out shot and bombarded in the 1st. Kipper made some key saves at the right times and kept us in the game. Our team came out looking real tentative probably from all the trade rumors, and they gradually got it going and finally had some luck go our way.

Not surprised we won, the cycle continues.

Duhhhh, when we win against a backup it's because we played a backup.

When we lose with our backup our team has no effort or compete level and should be burned to the ground.

Typical Flames pretty much...wish this team could just lose miserably or make a streak....one or the other please.
