Well you can't say that Uncle Jerrah won't spend his money trying to get that elusive 6th Super Bowl win. Over the last couple of months he has done the following:

- signed CB Trevon Diggs to a 5 year deal worth $97 million
- signed S Malik Hooker to a 3 year deal worth $24 million
- reworked G Zach Martin's contract making it worth $36 million over the next 2 seasons

Doesn't guarantee Playoff success but at least he's putting his money where his mouth is.

I don't remember anyone accusing Palpatine of cheating out on his players.

It's whether or not he's prioritizing the right players, coaches and front office that is the problem, in general.

At least this deal is staggered with their first round pick Smith who will still have 3 more years on the rookie contract, then the 5th year option. When he's up, Martin likely done and then see where the rest of the line is at contract wise.
