oilers have tried to beg teams to take a few players off of waivers without luck.
between the cap and contract limits, teams many teams are shying away from taking on contracts off of waivers and adding a contract to their bottom line. There is now a 50 contract limit in place and some many teams are at 46 to 48 and want to keep their options open
