Tampa had owners threaten to put a HOF defenseman on waivers so he'd end up playing for Atlanta if he didn't agree to waive his NTC.

We've come a ways.

Nothing beats a drunk Bill Wirtz carrying on during the Crosby lottery draft and acting like a complete fool while Pulford was acting his personal Butler holding his jacket.

Nothing tops the last years of the Bill Wirtz era. Not putting games on TV to protect a dwindling STH, paying money to a radio station to broadcast the Hawks. Nothing will ever top that misery

I'd say the reverse from good to bad would be the Sens. When Bryan Murray was the GM and in charged things seemed to be good and he kept Melnyk in line. But since Dorion has been in charge the culture has seemed to sour in Ottawa.

Umm untill Murray took over they were the model of pro sports that everyone wanted to be and were one of the best teams in the NHL,
Once he took over the bar was set ankle high the players were handed the keys to the kingdom, every coach was ran out of town and the locker room split into clicks. It’s been a roller coaster ride since.
What a strange take and memory of how things unraveled in Ottawa you have

Uh, any team that gets good players and starts to win games? Culture is a by product, not a cause of winning
