"I’m told Carolina and Toronto recently had a chat about a deal involving Kapanen and Brown going to the ‘Canes in a package involving Pesce"

I'm thinking this "chat" involved Dubas making the offer and Carolina's GM laughing hysterically while hanging up the phone.

I can definitely see Colin Miller being interesting to more than a few teams. He can be a decent Top-4 RHD with a reasonable cap number. That'd appeal to plenty of teams.

Alot of teams will be calling if Miller is available. Nobody has cap space so being able to add a guy making under 4 is huge... Its so rare nowadays which is scary for the future of the league

Tampa said Gusev isn't good enough to play in the NHL tho, did the GMs not get the memo?

Miller has been available for a while, I think we first heard about him being shopped around a month ago. Along with that Vegas wants fair value for him if traded.

I dunno who we'd trade in return, but Gusev would be the perfect Panarin replacement /bribery piece to get Panarin/Duchene to stay.
