Lehner is not a deadline day deal. If someone wants him, it is probably now - think Edmonton, Philly, Calgary, etc. Can't see us extracting a 1st from these team, but a 2nd would be nice.

It would behoove Buffalo to try to fix their starter situation by next season. Lehner is a rebound machine.

Slepyshev has waiver exemption. He more than likely provides you with more upside than Girgensons does at this point. The rest of the trade is for Chad Johnson--a $2.5m backup goaltender. I wouldn't expect the moon. Lowe is a warm body to balance the contracts, helps Rochester's depth at LD.

Johnson is a solid goalie, he's a lot better than his numbers show. One of the weakest glove hands I've ever seen though.
