NHL hit a home run with Utah....as a Jets fan that means more co.petition in the central but I'm excited for your fanbase. I had a feeling it would be a hit. Utes and Cougar support is next to none

I'm here for Pioneers. So many logo and mascot options, direct ties to the history of the state and it feels kind of classic and old school.

Two reasons: one, Alex Meruelo still owns the rights to the Coyotes' name and branding, and two, why would Smith want anything to do with such a damaged brand?

They don’t own that name. They didn’t acquire the Coyotes franchise. They simply purchase all of the hockey related assets. They acquired none of the business assets. That means no intellectual property or brand assets. Alex Meruelo still owns the Coyotes. They are inactive, not relocated. The only think SEG acquired was player and personnel contracts. That’s it.

Primary should have even less detail. And will have less detail. I’m hoping there’s no monster at all in the primary logo.

I like the Red Wings, Devils, Blues and Leafs just fine. Same as you. But I also really like the Kraken and Lightning. I like the Blackhawks, Bruins, Flames, Rangers, and Habs too.

Vegas and Buffalo are meh.

I’m forgetting several.

I like Frost and Wolves. Wolves is maybe a tad generic, but the Coyotes had the goal howl and at times a moon at center ice, so it'd be a bit familiar for Coyotes fans.

Among the list above, I think Golden Eagles is the best, but perhaps they could come up with something that is a nod toward the speed demons at Bonneville. Lots of places have mountains, wildlife and snow, but the salt racers are unique.
