Would you not say it says something about Tlustys game, that it is of such quality that he warrants being on a line with them?

Heard the same argument about Stalberg last season , it went along the lines of "but ya, he played on the 1rst line with Toews".

My rebuttal to that is "ya but the team saw quality in him TO put him on the 1rst line".

Don't know any other way to judge a transaction without hindsight.

One should always keep a vigilant eye on the past to best avoid repeating mistakes, no?

The only way to pick up on patterns is to hash over past data.

Your apparent criteria for judging players is questionable.
