Several weeks ago Kahun said in an interview that he will come.I think Draisaitl will come too.The other two I am not sure.
Nico Sturm I have no idea if he would come.

No doubt that our two best offensive players will join the team. :thumbu:
Drai is red-hot right now, and will be too disappointed b/c yet another playoff miss to call it a season at this point.
Kahún is in the same situation, and he's the guy who has a great work ethic and a habit of representing his country at the WHC even after intense seasons. Last season, when half of the silver medal winning team rejected Sturm's invitation, Kahún was still there after 58 games or so (DEL+CHL+Olympics+D-Cup). Also, the fact that the tournament is held in Slovakia adds som extra motivation for a guy with czech roots.

Rieder and Holzer are out of contract, if they want to pursue their career in NA that's normally a reason to deny.

Right, under normal circumstances.
However, Rieder has played a horrible season, and will probably be looking for an opportunity to earn his merits.
Last year he declined invitation becaue he'd been struck by injury during the tournament in Cologne, and felt it was too risky to go. But this time will be different. :naughty:

So awesome! And you could already have read that between the lines in Drai's post game interview after the last season match for the Oilers. :thumbu:

I think Holzer has played in the WC before while being a pending free agent, so I think he'll go again. He was surprisingly good for the Ducks this season, especially considering the fact that he was injured up until February.

Holzer has already said that he wants to play if he is needed and if he is healthy.
So I absolutely expect him to be there.

With him missing most of the season, he should be in midseason form right about the time the WC starts. ;)

After a horrible start germany played very well in the second and third period. The youngsters especially Bokk are playing with a lot of speed.

Germany beat slovakia 3-1 yesterday. Goals by Bergmann, Tuomie and Noebels. Treutle was the goalie this time.

Overall team Germany looked quite good, fast and eager, on the downside, there was couple of bad mistakes in the defensive end of the game.

So how is Bokk doing so far? Is he a lock to make the Team? As he's playing in Sweden you don't really get to much Information on his progess. Does he meet expectations? Can he already contribute for Team Germany this world championchip?

I have been impressed so far, if his play continues this way I believe he will make it to the wc tournament.

Despite playing well so far, it won't be easy for him to make it. We finally have some decent depth at forward and some great players are yet to join the team. But so far his line was the best out there, although for me Marc Michaelis has been the best player on that line (not surprising since he is 5 years older and has been through this before).
If he continues to play well there is definitely a chance for him because he has a skillset that is pretty unique, but if he ever stops putting in the effort on defense he could find himself missing the cut.
