His body looks built to be thin. I think he'll max out at 190 lbs.

I think I've said it before but he was still growing height a year or two ago, so it was thought better to stay of the weights until his growth stopped.

Piispanen looked very thin in Sweden a couple of weeks ago, so those figures could be correct.

As for my No. 1 favourite on the Finnish team (Kim Nabb), does anyone know why he takes so ridiculous short shifts? He is arguably the most physical player on this team and plays with a great deal of intensity, but his shifts in the U20 tournament in Sweden were like 15 seconds long, compared to his linemates who stayed on the ice for at least an additional 15 seconds. Stamina or injury problems in the past?

EDIT: I am glad Keränen did not make the team. He was quite similar to Nabb, only he had absolutely no offensive game, and aside from his physical game he was just plain awful IMO.
Nabb isn't held in high regard by any coach but his hometown team coach pretty much. Also look for that wicked wrister and that great stickhandling through traffic. Might prove to be a very good sniper.

What style of defense does Korhonen play? What is is potential? Thanks.

He's a smooth and solid puckhandler so he plays two-way in Finnish juniors, but when the competition gets tougher he's basically a stay-at-home defenseman.

Korhonen likes to throw the body, hits like a caterpillar and is mean, too. His mobility is limited but he'll catch his targets easier in the small rink. He would've been a great fit for the CHL.

...Second line wing?

It's not only mean but racist and evil. Bättre folk, harumph. :D
hehe, I am not all for swedish speakers and so but Nabb is a crowdpleaser, and we haven't had too many of those ^^ Makkonen would look awesome in that role too though. He'd get a good laugh when the north americans try to get by him.

First line will most likely be those two and Nokelainen, they were the best line in U18s and will be reunited for U20s as well. After that it gets more complicated, there are several possible combinations for the 2nd and 3rd lines.

According to Porin Sanomat (not the most reliable source though) Joensuu will play with Nokelainen and Tukonen.

I would like to see same Korpikoski there instead of Joensuu though, the line was very good in U18 championships.

Is it mean to wish for Tenkanen to be injured so that Nabb can walk in at that spot? XD
That is pure evil.

The roster looks good imo. Three players from JYP. Looks like our youth players are ok. I was hoping that Aleksis Ahlqvist would get a chance. He has played well in the junior A games this season. Riska was a slight surprise to me.

I've been hyped up about this Nabb character since I got a webclip of a fifteen year old Nabb doing everything a smallish player can do in jr's about a year ago... that guy is amazing and could be what we need in the future. Hustle and skill in one.

Ahlqvist would've been a nice choice too.

Finnish players have such cool names.

Totaly! They sound so good! Korpikoski, Eloranta, Honkaheimo (some would maybe say it's japanese)... What was the name of the player that socred the winning goal last year in the quarterfinal against the Russians couple of seconds before the end? I think he was a defenceman... I remember I liked his last name too.
Maybe others opinions about some cool Finnish names?!

That game-winner was scored by Filppula. He is a center, not defenseman.
