Would be cool to see one of the 02's (Holtz and Raymond) crack this team by the end of next season. Their numbers are already on par with some of these forwards.

During the "Russincamp" there will be games between U18 and U17. You will be able to see how they manage. In my opinion it is unlikely that any 01 or 02 will have ha go in the solid 00 group in the next years.
Just look at the names that are left out of the roster this time: Höglander, Rapp, Macklin, Linus Pettersson, Carl Berglund, Victor Lundberg, Skager, Appelqvist, Alex Holmberg, Nordin...

It's unlikely, but the 00' forward group really isn't spectacular. That group of defensemen though...

That depends what you relate to. Bäck, Gustafsson, Olofsson played in the U18 WC already. Hållander, Höglander, Wernblom have played in the Swedish 2nd division and a whole bunch have had rather big roles in J20SE their first year as junior players. That is quite better than J18E.

They won U17 WC (the unofficial) and all other tourneys even without the best players.

I don't see that there will be any underaged player in this team the following year. Maybe when it's time for U20 but not before that.

Not saying it's a bad forward group or anything but the best 01 players will for sure get a chance to play with these guys. Many players from this 00 group have split time between J18 and J20 but haven't made much noise in J20 yet, there is no standout forward like Filip Forsberg, William Nylander or André Burakovsky. The highest scorers of this age group have been a couple of defensemen.

Holtz is a early born 02, so almost a 01, and I would be surprise and a bit disapointet if he was not good enough for WJC 18 next season. He has had almost 2 PPG in J18 allsvenskan (not just J18 elit, pretty big difference), has the best PPG in team 16 as a underage, a player like that should be in a WJC 18 team the season after if he keeps develop like one could hope.

In WJC20 it will guarantee be a couple of underaged, it always is.

The U17 team beat the U18 team today 3-2 which is pretty remarkable. A couple of big time players missing from the U18 team though.

U18 should have won this game, no doubt about that. They didn't capitalize on their chances, 38-14 in shots says a lot about how it looked out there. The 1st game ended 6-2, should have been something like that in this game aswell. Next game on monday.

Team17 underage goalie born late 02 Jesper Wallstedt. In total, only two goals scored on him in his matches including the winning game in Saturday. Some told me he will play J20 Superelit next season as an U16 player!

http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=394724

He should at least get a ton of shots as they will lose half of their players it looks like.

Can't remember a goalie who will have four seasons of Superelit/pro hockey before he's draft eligible. Or any player, for that matter.

Landeskog could have had three years. Adam Larsson had three. Dahlin will have two. This is unheard of.
