The upside here for such a low cost is tremendous. Absolute no brainer from an on-ice perspective and with him, Bear and Cole in the mix our D group should be every bit as good as last year without needing to be tied to Dougie at an exorbitant cost for 7-8 years. Best case scenario for our D outside of Dougie returning for a bargain, which just wasn't happening, or some other big move/trade which didn't seem to be available.
