A friend visiting Boston from Chicago wanted to take a selfie with the Orr statue tonight and it is NOT there.

What she heard at 'The Fours' is it will return when the Bill Russell statue is moved to TD Garden.

Cant we just leave it there? Why remove it and then bring it back? Russell will be there soon?

Or are they just waiting to bring them together? Strange. But okay. At first glance I thought it was damaged or something.

If they win it again and were to put up a life size Chara statue in streetclothes, what's the over / under that the general population in 40 years thinks he was a basketball player.?

Why did it need to be taken down? Just add the Russell statue as quickly as possible. In fact there should be a number of statues added with the historic strength of our sports teams.

It would be neat to have a row of ten or so statues.

just between the Celtics and Bruins alone you could probably easily get to 10. So much history between the two of those teams

I’m betting part of it has to do with the positioning the two statues so that they don’t block the flow of foot traffic and also so Bobby doesn’t get damaged during the installation of the Russell statue.

Can’t wait to see them both out there.
