To TBL: Anton Roussel + Jay Beagle

Logic:

-Tampa needs to shed cap, by turning Johnson's salary into two cap hits of $3m, they can bury both Roussel and Beagle saving them $1m in cap for the next two years and only have to carry Roussel and Beagle for two years rather than Johnson's remaining four years.

-Vancouver saves $1m on the cap for the next two years and add Johnson who can play as an offensive 2b centre in Vancouver. Vancouver hopes Seattle takes Johnson in the expansion draft and likely add an asset to SEA to make it happen.

So Tampa adds cap in an effort to save cap. Genius.

You have to take into account the roster bodies replacing the buried bums.

This doesn’t help Tampa. Have a better shot of them buying him out before they go this route
