Looked solid in his time up with the Flyers but was pretty far down the depth chart at this point.

Unfortunate. I think he could honestly become a decent middle-6 player in Tampa. This is one of the necessary evils of having so much roster depth.

Doubtful. He's likely a guy whose too good for the AHL, but not quite good enough for the NHL...likely KHL bound in a few years

Martel grew on me as a prospect but really not a great loss. Hopefully he makes the team though and gets some ice time in TB.

Losing Martel only scares me because Tampa Bay has a history with small shifty goalscoring forwards. Irrational I know.
Meh. Even if he turns out to be good you can't be too upset. He had next to no trade value and hasn't shown anything to make you think anything about him. Even if he blows up down in TB you can't be too upset because it was never going to happen here.

If he had been given a real chance last year instead of the way the coaching staff used him when he was called up, we would know if this was a big deal.

Yeah I agree. We really dont know what we had in him at the NHL level.

Watch Tampa will put him at RW, something will click, Danick will end up shooting more and before we know it, he’ll be a 25-30 goal scorer in the NHL.
