Gotta think Hughes going to Jersey means Hall is staying

Hall wants upgrades to the roster before he commits long-term and this is a major one without any assets or money needed (for now). Tack on some FA and trades and I dont see how Hall isnt signed before October

Hall-Hughes will be lighting it up the next good amount of seasons

Man o man how does Taylor do it?

Oilers drafted 1st overall 3 more times after getting him...

He gets traded to NJ and they now have two 1st overalls since he's been there.
no Kakko.... please no more euro thrash and fortnite drama. that swiss they got now is soft as butter, don't make the same mistake twice

I think it's far more likely that Hall waits to see how the season goes before signing anything. He's been sold false hope before in Edmonton.

I don't know...if it were me, I think I'd be trying to make people forget this fact. It's absolutely nothing to be proud of...

So does this mean we can stop laughing at the Oilers and admit that Hall is a team killer?

6 years in Edmonton, team picks #1 overall 3x
3 years in New Jersey, team picks #1 overall 2x and counting

True.

But it helps that unlike Edmonton, he now has COMPETENT Management here in NJ (aka NOT Chiarelli) who know what they're doing.

And winning Hughes will definitely help lean him considerably toward re-signing with the Devils.

If they make playoffs this upcoming season sure. If they don't then probably not.

So the trade actually wasn't one for one?

It was one for 3 :

Larsson for Hall, Nico, and Hughes

based on what exactly?

Are you for real?

Who would you rather have as GM if you're Hall?

Shero or Chiarelli? o_O

can't believe I have to ask you this question....

(then again, you're a bruins fan just looking to talk more trash so forget it....)

What has Jersey management done to show any competence?

They've gone 2 for 3 getting 1st overall...suspiciously like Edmonton did with Hall

What have they done to build any kind of team around Hall except throw a bunch of high picks together? Again, same as Edmonton.

Chiarelli led Oilers have just as much success as the Hall led Devils. And yeah, Chiarelli isn't good, but neither is your brain trust

They made the Playoffs the season before.

Something the Oilers NEVER did when Hall was there.

Did Chiarelli do that?

Hall won the Hart Trophy.

Something that NEVER happened when he was an Oiler.

Did Chiarelli do that? o_O

Hall was traded for a slightly-above-average but unspectacular Defenseman in Adam Larsson....ONE FOR ONE.

Something that DID happen.

And Chiarelli DID do that!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Look, I don't know what crawled up your butt here but Devils management is more Competent than any management that Hall has had to deal with before.

That's a fact. :teach2:

And If you don't like it, well that's not my problem, buddy.

Go back to focusing on the Bruins Playoffs and hope Brad Marchand doesn't get suspended for licking another guy's face.
