So Pacioretty cost them a 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and Suzuki. Ouch.
Detroit has more than Vegas for the next draftStill Vegas has probably most draft picks on the whole league. They have a gold mine where to give.
And the other first was used to take a guy many people had in their top 15 prospects. So Pacioretty cost them a 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and Suzuki. Ouch.

Seems like a terrible trade by Vegas to me. I guess they completely gave up on Tatar and think Patches can make them a contender again... I disagree with both of those evaluations and think Suzuki was too high of a price.
As of today. You have to factor in us at the deadline next FebruaryAnd Vegas has more for next 2 drafts.
Two first! Veleno and Suzuki. LolSo Pacioretty cost them a 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and Suzuki. Ouch.

Yep. It's a non-ice value which a real contender can throw away to strengthen the team.
I just can't view them as a Cup contender even with making the finals last year. Time will tell, but I wouldn't be shocked if they missed the playoffs this year. I think they'll regret this trade down the road.
Since Tatar is a pure scorer,
Can he do well without a good center ?
if he can get back to the level he was from '14 to '16, yes.
though the issues is that earlier on in his career he wasn't just a pure scorer, he drived possession pretty well. but that aspect disappeared last season quite a bit.
He was off last season. Don't know why. But yes generally he plays motivated, wants the puck and is a puck hound. Wings fans seem a bit down on him now but not long ago he was a fan favorite. See no reason why he can't get back to being that player. Are wings fans positive on how well he will play ?
I don't mind if he scores 15 goals, but I really want him to show some motivation and work hard on the fore check
