If the Devils trade Palmieri it should be for picks/prospects.

Doesn’t make sense for NJ to make a lateral move when they aren’t expected to make the playoffs.

Palmieri hasn’t even underperformed. Good underlying numbers. 9 pts in 14 games which is a 53 pt pace which is right in the range he’s been his whole time in Jersey. 3 goals in 14 games could be considered underperforming if you ignore the context of his SH%. If he was shooting at his career average if 12.6% instead of getting a bit unlucky and shooting at 7.7% then he’d have 5 in 14 which is a 29 goal pace and right in line with where’s been throughout his time in NJ.

Either we re-sign him or we move him for younger pieces. Tatar doesn’t make any sense

Tatar is a good player but, as already has been said, it doesn't make sense for us to swap Palmieri for similar player in similar age.

If I'm NJ, I don't touch this at all.

Palmieri is exactly what the young centers on the Devils need.

And with their Cap situation so friendly next year and beyond, hes a guy you sign for 5 years.

So, as a NYR fan, I hope they trade him lol

Never understood the “lock it down” logic. I understand the trade makes no sense. But why do you want it locked down? why does it bother you that other people are discussing things that you have no interest to discuss? Just leave the thread. That’s quite easy.
