Hello HF Habs,

This post is being made to inform everyone here that posts about being pro-tanking will not be permitted on this forum.

While we do understand that some people may want the team to lose in order to get a draft pick, please understand that most posters coming to this forum are here to cheer on their favourite hockey team, and posts that are hoping for the Habs to lose can be seen as trolling the vast majority of the fanbase.
This has been discussed at length with the moderators and administrators of this site, and is not something that is up for debate. Consider this post your first warning, and any please note that there may be additional repercussions if you're unable to adhere to this rule.

Thank you,
HF Habs staff

Let's clarify the position on tank-talk:

We can discuss a rebuild.
However, like most things, there's a time and place for it. You can continue to debate rebuilding on multiple threads, provided it's on-topic, constructive, and doesn't devolve into petty bashing and repetitive insults. We'll step in if the tone becomes too aggressive or if it hijacks the thread, the same way we would step in with any subject.

There's zero tolerance for tank talk in a GDT.
Habs fans should not be cheering for the team to lose, especially during a real-time event whose purpose is to cheer them on. It's obnoxious to those celebrating a goal to moan about how we should be tanking. Don't come to the party if you're only there to criticize the band.

Finally, we know this isn't an exact science.
We're trying our best to make our board as open as possible without letting it become a swamp. The subject of rebuilding/tanking had become depressive and bitter, and was invading every corner of our board. It was unfair and very unpleasant for many of posters. We're asking you to work with us; please don't look for loopholes or try to get away with crap online. PM us if you're unsure -- be respectful and you'll be treated respectfully.

Adding this since it seems hard to understand:

Guys, if you lost the ability to like posts because you went against the rules, it means that trying to circumvent it is also against the rules.

The zero tolerance policy also applies to pre-game threads and post-game threads.
