Does this work? Does VAN add? TB in real trouble here, but certainly not out of it.
Considering that Tanev is making right now what Drouin could be making in a few months here not sure if Yzerman does it.
To be honest, this would be the ideal time to trade him. Because of his demand and hold out his value cratered. Now all that is in the past so it is fairly high.Vancouver: do you wanna trade your only player performing right now in a one for one?
Tampa: lol sure cause we didn't trade him when he asked so we probably would when he lives up to it all

But from a Canucks perspective, I'd do it...
Drouin - Horvat - Boeser
O u O

I think Drouin will get more than 4.45m a year...
Add Horvat and TB can add something small to medium sized
I do to, I think that Johnson, Palat and Drouin all could be getting at least $4.75 million per if not even higher Johnson could even get around $5.5 million per i would imagine.
LOL, so we add a guy who is producing at the same rate as Drouin offensively, is twice as good defensively, and has actual leadership skills.
Mannnnnnn these flashy kids get waaaay over-rated on here
Hopefully they get capped at 4.75 so as to not go over Kucherov.
Pass on Tanev
I'm a big Horvat fan.. but he is not producing at the same rate
Yzerman signed both Stamkos and Kucherov at well below market value so I wouldn't rule out him getting a bargain on Drouin as well. My gut feeling is Drouin holds himself in high regard and I think he will push for a bridge contract since he likely thinks he can earn more coming off that 2nd contract.I think Drouin will get more than 4.45m a year...

General framework of the trade makes sense to me, I think Tanev would help out Tampa Bay a ton and if you want to prioritize short term success over long term success it's a trade you make. If Tampa believes that Drouin will live upto his full potential though it is likely not a trade you would make as his value could be substantially higher than Tanev's in a couple of years.
man, Canucks fans really just want to pawn Tanev off don't they
