After Dallas 30 shots against Anaheim in one period, Tampa with 34 against Chicago.
And it feels like each one was a Grade A. Ward was playing out of his mind.
Meh.. I guess it was a nice period.
Tampa Bay Hurricanes
Nah. We scored.
Gotta feel bad for ward, that defense was embarassing - he was getting pummeled by rebounds in the crease, then Tampa would just get it again off a failed clear and repeat.
New NHL record for shots in a period
Hawks have the worst D-corps in NHL and the worst D-system in NHL.
Even strength high danger scoring chances being 24-6 after the period according to naturalstattrick
that was entertaining to watch
Was it 33 or 34?
They didn't record shots by period until 1998? That seems odd.
They took one away, 33
Broadcast originally said 34 then corrected to 33. NHL.com also says 33. Crazy impressive.
Guess they took one off the board.
I know I'm supposed to be excited for Tampa but what the hell are you doing, Chicago?
Another 30-shot period? What's going on here?
Not a lot...
Meh, unimpressed. I mean, yeah, it's a bazillion more shots than you would normally expect, but after I've had the idea of a 34-shot period in my head, 33 just seems so mediocre.
That was an EA sports period (complete with the insane goaltending).
Truth. All the sudden, the period seems much more even overall.
cirelli is a friggin hound out there. gourde's speed makes him deadly. point is a scary smart player. tampa is rolling all 4 lines and 3 pairs and the hawks dont have an answer. also sergachev routinely makes people look like fools with his little shoulder shimmy he uses on the rush
we are on the 2nd half of a back to back too LOL
