I think the problem was that they blew the original call and then could not overturn it based on the video.

That's what the challenge was for. They looked at the video and still thought it was goaltender interference.

It should have been a goal. I still feel somewhat fortunate, the refs haven't screwed the Lightning over nearly as bad as some teams.

Saw a couple last year where there was no contact at all, 1 of which the reasoning was given by the ref/the leauge that the positioning of the player prevented the goalie from moving to that spot to make the save depsite not physically attempting to and having the player prevent him.
