The entire team gave up after the first period. Literally almost no shots for the entire third period. Just awful performances from the entire team. Very disappointed in this team. Expected it to happen this way, but disappointed that it's so damn predictable.

Matthews played great. The JT line is not the first line. no matter what anyone says. Matty is the best centre on this team and he has the second and third best wingers on his line. I would say thats our top line

which winger is better than nylander?

mono mitch?

The amount of hate for a point per game player in literally only 5 games so far this year is incredible lol... best player in terms of production since 1997 on the team last year... some leaf “fans” are hard to take seriously.

Matthews deal is fair value just short term, Nylander deal is okay. The Marner deal is abysmal, his contract is the difference in us signing a quality defenseman.
None of those deals are fair value... these guys haven't even made it past the 1st round of the playoffs. JMHO.

Its painfully obvious that Tavares and Marner are not as good as other top lines in the NHL.

Head to Head, they got wrecked by Bruins and Lightning top lines.

It's sad that we pay Marner and Tavares more than Kucherov and Point

The Leafs defence, like the entire hockey world has been saying, is not good.
The Leafs grit, like the entire hockey world has been saying, is non-existent.

I don't give a **** about offence at this point because I'd shed half of it to shore up the other two areas of the roster.

Like it or not, hockey is not simply a matter of who can out-dangle/snipe/celly the other team.
And yet tampa did just that tonight...

Take out Kadri and Gradiner and Brown, Zaitsev and Hainsey, it is almost like this team has no heart.

Getting blown out at home like this is no good.
Kadri, and Hainsey, yes.
Brown was a waste of space last season, let’s not romanize his play.
Zai was a train wreak.
While Jake was good 99%of the time and the 1%of the time he sucks, the puck ended up in our net.
