Why? Nothing impressive about his game.

Went with Colton, strong freshman year on an average team. Has a good frame and overall skillset to where he should get an ELC and can turn into a decent bottom 6 player. If he goes ppg this year I like his chances of translating his offensive game to the pro's.

Sammy Walker this time.

Yes, he's of this draft year, but dang it, the kid was a surprise gem at Development Camp!

Watching him in the puck handling drills was rather amazing. These drills were all new to him but can he ever move that puck! With him, it’s not just good stick work; it’s how he moves/skates with speed, balance and excellent control. Power skating was easy for him as he already seemed to understand the concept. I would almost put his skating higher than Guttman.

The 3v3 really showcased his talent. Terrific skating, great hands, wonderfully sneaky shots even under pressure. Doggone it, the kid can MOVE!
