His summer plan is to do some signings, get closer to the playoffs, and then mess everything up in the Seattle draft

such a stupid thing to say. Agents are licking their chops

Why the hell would moving Hoffman be a good idea also?

McCann-Bjugstad-Hoffman is about 50-55 goals gone. Panarin and Tippett Borgstrom isnt gonna outscore that significantly if at all...you keep Hoffman

The guy they need the most is Bobrovsky...that will be add that makes a difference and of course Panarin if they keep Hoffman in the top6. looking at that roster i would be hunting a top4 defenseman

I agree trading Hoffman is silly but if he is shipped, Panarin comes and we re-sign Dadonov, the following players are capable of these goal totals next year:

Panarin/Hoffman: 25-30
Barkov: 20-25
Huberdeau: 20-25
Trocheck: 25-30
Dadonov: 25-30
Vatrano: 20-25
Borgstrom: 10-15
Tippett: 10-15
Ekblad: 10-15
Matheson: 5-10

Offense isn't a worry, your last sentence are the two missing pieces. Tallon has the ammo in cap space or prospects/picks in a trade to chase a starting goalie and a top flight winger or top 4 defenseman.

Why cant the Panthers be fixed. Not a fan but that team usually goes 3 4 years of god awful, 1 promising/hopeful year then back to putrid.
