Have you seen Newhook play? The BCHL isn't exactly a great league, and I'd be very hesitant on burning a pick on him. He has lesser talent than Tyson Jost, and he's softer in my opinion. Don't we need D after going full on C last year?

I have seen him play there's obviously concerns but his ceiling is still enough that we should pick him if he's there and if you must go defenseman pick anyone on board other than York he's just so average at everything that there's way better options.

I've watched him a fair amount in Victoria, and I don't like the way his disappears away from his own rink and comfort zone. Playing in cushy Victoria or Nanaimo, or a short jaunt to Vancouver he does fine. Make him take the bus out of town and he fades away. He plays small too, the Spruce Kings took him out of his game pretty easily for the most part. He wasn't noticeable out there when it mattered, that worries me. I used to watch Gallagher play when he was on the Giants, and his effort was unreal no matter what rink he was at, which is no surprise when you see the player he has morphed into.

Anyways, I hope they pick a D, or trade up to get really good D somehow.

Flyers wont pick another goalie early... they have been drafting goalies early for the last 4 drafts. Now that they hit on Hart, they will wait a few years imo. If Caufield is there, it will be their pick.

Softer lol ? he plays one of the most dynamic and aggressive style of all the centers available
