Lineups added in First post. No surprises at least on Swiss side I guess. Like the last years Berra starts the first game and Genoni will probably play tomorrow.

Puh, that was a close one.

Siegenthaler already with 3 assists.

Dominant first period with too many passes and not enough shooting from time to time. Italy only with 3 shots and only dangerous on PP after that stupid Marti-penalty.

Bertschy - Hischier - Meier not yet clicking IMHO. The line around Thürkauf very good.

About what you would expect overall. Hischier seems off though and I don't like him with Bertschy. Fischer can't fail to build a line around him like he did last year. He needs to get it done in the next few games or we might be in trouble when the quarter finals come around...

This is a pretty poor period so far, Fora had a bunch of horrible turnovers, but all in all everyone is being pretty sloppy

The third period was terrible, too many missed passes and scoring chances allowed. Hard to comment on Hischier and Meier, most of the time it looked like they weren't even trying.

Yeah, well, a win without any problems, dominant with 47-14 shots but too sloppy from time to time.

Fora was bad, really bad. Moser didn't have a good game, too. Glauser/Geisser looked solid, Kukan got better as the game went on. Simion needs to stop doing plays at the own blueline. Malgin was all over the ice but beside his early goal there was not much which resulted in something dangerous. Bertschy is not a fit with Meier and Hischier. Let's hope for Fiala there.

bertschy is best used as an energy bunny.

imo the logical choice would be malgin with hischier and meier. malgin is equally dangerous as a playmaker and shooter and would make this line less predictable.

promote kurasheve to play with sutter and simion.
bertschy - thürkauf - scherwey looks like the typical energy line, which was succesful in previous tournaments.

Even though I originally wanted Malgin to drive the second line, fixing the Hischier line has to be the number one priority right now even if that breaks up other lines that work. So Malgin would certainly be the first choice in the moment. If this doesn't get an improvement Fischer could also try Scherwey. Players like Kurashev and Ambühl have already been tried out last year but it hasn't really worked out with them.

Riat could be an option now after Fiala won't come.

I am not sure if he has the props to keep up with the other two, I have never been a big fan of him. I know Fischer tried him on the first line in the some of the exhibition games. But I wasn't able to watch those, so I can't comment on that.
