we should have been concerned a long time ago. Both the public and the medical community are at fault for massively overprescribing antibiotics for viral illnesses, and now we are reaping the fruits of that

Its what happens when patients/parents demand antibiotics even though they aren't indicated and providers don't want to get sued and don't want their reimbursement reduced or to get fired for low patient satisfaction scores so they prescribe them anyway
