I bought a George Foster black bat when I was a kid.

Just an awesome lineup. I remember when he did an interview during or following his MVP season. It went something like this (not verbatim):

Interviewer: Can we do an interview with you?
Foster: Why?
Interviewer: Because you are George Foster.
Foster: I have always been George Foster and you never wanted to interview me.
Interviewer: But you are now the MVP.
Foster: So it's not because I am George Foster.

I passed my drivers exam with a 76 Mercury Grand Marquis, a couple years later took my future wife out with this wagon:

Stock photo, mine was a Brougham and had white leather seats.
I still have the clock from the dash board!

Me too. But I remember him as much for throwing out Denny Doyle at home in Game 6 1975 as his bat...
One of the greatest in-season managerial decisions of all-time was when Sparky Anderson moved Pete Rose to third base from outfield and put George Foster in the OF from the bench. John Vukovich was a light hitting 3rd baseman at the time. Part of that was Rose's desire to boost a slumping team. The Reds went 41-9 in a 50-game span at one point.
