I'm currently living in immense fear that Chelsea are gonna drop 100m on Mauro Icardi this summer.

I like these reports of Bayern going after non-Hudson-Odoi targets.

I have a feeling that the transfer ban could keep Hudson-Odoi here, as it will make a path for first team appearances way clearer for him.

Fear? We'd finally acquire a top striker that is still in their prime.

Agreed, especially if Hazard goes to Real.

Thauvin and Pepe will cost around 40M I think. Possibly more for Pepe. Fekir is still 60+ I'd say.

The last thing that locker room needs is Icardi.

Press is saying he's staying in Italy because Wanda's custody battle with Lopez is taking forever (as does everything in that country)

If Lyon don’t get the price they want, they’ll keep him.

........which would be a result of his price being, you know,... effected.

You don't think Fekir's failed medical at Liverpool will effect his price?
Why would it? He has shown that his knee is fine. Ask City or PSG.
And quite frankly, he didn't miss many games the two seasons before. In any case, 60M€ isn't huge for him given the current market.

Ultimately, someone might cough up the dough , but I think it's a fair question. Liverpool (allegedly) wanted a reduced price ( from 53m) , I think it's fair to assume others might feel the same way.

I don't think their concern was about the now , more so over how he'll be in the latter stages of his career.

The whole thing is a bit funny.

60m (or whatever) - no way
50m (or something) - sure - worth the risk

Nah, Liverpool wanted a discount, I'm pretty sure.
Don't take anything about this seriously.
Loic Remy once failed a medical and he's still playing.

Actually I think they decided they wanted Alisson instead. From all reports they would not have signed Alisson if they signed Fekir. The medical was an easy out.

This story seem so odd.

There is so many conflicting reports.

Fee was agreed.. then came the physical and then the transfer collapsed.

I do believe something happened during that physical that made Liverpool pause.

Also I don't think Fekir's stock went south since Chelsea was heavily interested in him in the winter window but Lyon wouldn't sell.

So, why take the medical? Unless they were negotiating in bad faith and had Allison talks at the same time.

This all happened at the same time as Karius making numerous blunders in preseason. Maybe they just changed their mind and did the very unethical thing of pointing at the medical as the reason why.
