closer than i thought.....Mcinnis put up nice numbers though really do not remember him, then again the really 90's to early the following decade, hard to watch good parts of the seasons down south......Beau has certainly the possibility to be the choice, but not now...have to go with Ed.

He’s not remotely close to being the answer, but Sillinger was such a solid guy on our last good team before the Tavares/Capuano era.

Eighteen! Hey, Eighteen!

Ran into Eighteen in Toronto’s Pearson Airport in late-April ‘87, coming back from Easter in Delray Beach. Would’ve been just a few days after the Epic. He was smiley. Dad noticed him first, probably knew him better as a Boston Broon.

Shame EW didn’t win a Cup here, but he was a classy pick as org’s first captain. Going from Orr-Espo to 12-60-6 couldn’t’ve been easy. Bet he loved that first-season 9-7 win over the B’s though. Wonder if any Broons played that one sober.

Anyway. Picking Eighteen for #18.

Don't know much about Mr Westfall but Sillinger was a fav of mine, an old mans Pageau. Could do anything out there, what a great pickup by Snow at the time.

Jiggs would call Westfall 18 on their broadcasts. He brought respectability to this team back in the 70’s.

However, if Beau can resign here and score a few more goals like he did in Game 4 I can be swayed. That crossbar in Game 7 will haunt me until this team finally wins another Cup.
