The conditions required to set up a Battle of Alberta went pretty well today:

Edmonton is now leading after Lucic scores twice

Calgary is ventilating the decaying husk of the Los Angeles Kings

St. Louis won to hold Calgary to their wildcard position

but Anaheim won and they must lose their next game

I'd watch that series!

Pretty crazy that Arizona made up 19 points on the Canucks since late January. And it's not like they had some amazing record; they're just 2 games over .500 in that span.

I would not have guessed that Arizona would surpass the Canucks this year. Amazing. As Tony G said, this team tanks as if it were by design.

Couldn't watch the game but reading through the GDT I don't think I could have handled it anyway.

Got the outcome we needed, the rest is in a hopefully motivated Edmonton's hands.
