The game is gettin 'softer...Aho should of made Subban answer the bell for that cheap shot. If he isn't the type to engage, then a team mate should of made him answer the bell or taken note, at least for future meetings.
For those rating Subbans action as 'not so bad' ,let me ask...do you want more of this in the game or less of this in the game? This is the type of thing that leads to escalation of dirty 'tit for tat' 'type play.

I'm not sure what to make of this one. LOL

Cannot decide if Aho is super weak or if Subban is super strong.

Even watching this play was a giant "meh" from me, 2 for roughing and that's it. 15 years ago guys like Foote and Aaron Ward specialized in this sort of hit.

On the other hand seeing the clips of Subban coming unhinged in the box... now THAT'S pure entertainment value.

Aho's actually pretty solid on his feet. He's not a wide-body type at 5'11" 172, but he's shrugged off harder hits from bigger guys than Subban.

Look at Aho's right leg in that replay. It's almost a slewfoot type move where Subban's knee is behind Aho's, leaving Aho with only one skate in contact with the ice as he's being pushed backward. No matter how big you are, that's an uncontrolled topple.

Lmao. "Slewfoot" actually means something. It's a contact sport and skaters approach each other from any angle but slewfooting specifically means dragging or kicking out an opponent's skate or leg from behind. That doesn't even come close to happening in this instance. It's good to see that some hfboards posters still haven't learned what "slewfooting" actually is and use it for any contact they don't like.
,

The amazing thing here is that you actually bolded the words "almost" and "type", then got super pedantic about the definition.

You went out of your way to bold the words that completely invalidated your point.

Boychuk does this all the time. It's not intended to be a punch, but a ridiculously strong push to the back or chest. He's essentially using his arm as a club.

First, it's not a punch. There is a windup, but Aho is hit with a forearm, not hand/fist.

Second, roughing penalty (at least in the NHL) is called if the hit is on the head/face. This one went to the chest.

I can't say I am thrilled with this kind of play, but it doesn't look like an NHL penalty to me.

I believe that's called a donkey punch, but why is this type of video allowed ? Isn't Linday made at him ?

Oh...

I see I'm way off.

That's apparently a hit. Subban has done that a bunch.
