Felt like it was obvious he was still alive. The scenes at the end still mattered, because you didn't know yet that he was.

Definitely a trend of big character deaths meaning absolutely nothing with big franchises, from Marvel to Star Wars to this, etc. This should be a shameful thing to do for them to kill off a major character in the last episode and then just say "Nah, he's fine" in the teaser trailer of the next season of all things, but that has been accepted as a fine thing to do in all these other huge franchises so a lot of people don't even care at this point.

In entertainment and movies, unless you see a dead body, you should never assume someone is dead.

You knew he'd be back, and seeing the teaser trailer is still awesome, but I kinda wish they went with the "mystery/intrigue" longer. Hopper is the clear star of the show IMO, just wouldn't be the same without him.

Stranger Things taught us early on even that isn't always the case.

To be fair, it's in line with the movies/era that the show is paying homage to. Those 80's movies didn't typically kill off their main characters.

I mean you can choose to not assume it, but you could if you wanted to

This makes no sense? Steve was sorta a minor character for a lot of season 1 yet hes top 5.

Additionally Billy didn’t exist at all until season 2 so I find it odd hes there as a most popular season 1 character

Based on cultural impact and anecdotal evidence, I find it hard to believe that Billy was a more popular character than Hopper for the entire run of the series.

Apparently this is based on google search data... not sure if that maybe has to do more with people looking up the actors than the actual popularity of the characters?

Makes no sense altogether, like I said Billy didn’t even exist as a character in 2016. Who was searching him up before he was even known to exist

Makes me wonder, since this is all based on Google searches, if this is an effect of people searching for info about the next season.

Was just thinking that as I scrolled through the thread.

Something happened in a mall... with a monster... who was... bad...

'Bout all I got.

Then something happened in a lab and...
Hopper seemingly died, but it appears from the Season 4 teasers that he was actually transported to Siberia, where I think that there's another lab with its own portal.

I was surprised at how tall the one kid was in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. I wonder if they've all had crazy growth spurts since Season 3.

Millie Bobby Brown turns 18 tomorrow. They grow up so fast.

Oh damn ya I forgot about him and the lab… I’m sure he’s fine though.

Niice, and glad they're ending it at season 5.

The first season is goated, like definitely the greatest season of television last decade for my money.
