From some of the stuff I've read in the last couple of years I've had the impression that Johnny would rather be on an eastern team. It's probably why they signed one of his high school buddies to play on the big team. The rebuild could start with that trade and move from there.

But that's all from fans not from Johnny.

Can't even show up against a bad LA team. This team is done folks, congrats to the Canucks, Oilers and Golden Knights on your playoff spots.

Anything can happen in the playoffs.
Oilers were 8th in the west and 1 game away from the cup in 06.
That oilers team is always underrated. There is important context to that season. A team missing a goalie aquired one at the trade deadline along with two good dmen. It was better than an 8th place team.

Honestly with a good coach they'd run away with the pacific. Too many good players underperforming year after year, especially on the blue line. They need to start getting the best out of their players, don't know if it's locker room problems or what.
