Not sure if comparing 1st rounders to 4th and 5th rounders is the best idea

I'd compare 1st rounds to 1st rounders but we didn't have many. It was more so of the style Dean went for was not the style of players there to draft.

I think you are dead wrong here,

Look at who he drafted from 2013 on, with what picks he had,

2013 - Zykov, Brodzinski, again, skill first, yes he drafted Auger, 4th round
2014 - Kempe, Amadio, again, skill and speed
2015 - Cernak, Dergachev, Wagner - looks like skill and speed to me
2016 - only 4 picks,Clague, again, skill etc

Looks to me he was adapting fine with his drafting....

Only two 1st rounders since 2012, and neither is doing much a this moment. Kempe is still a big ? and Pearson has turned into Dwight King. That's all there is to show for later half of DL's drafting years. That's a lot of misses, even in the later rounds.
