I think Leaf fans know exactly what they are getting in Tavaras. Your not the only one that had the ability to watch him play.

So break down his defensive game for me. I already gave my view on what I think his biggest issue is above. You say you've seen him just as much as me, so I'd be curious to hear you detail which parts of my analysis are off, and what makes him good defensively.

In the last couple of years as his skating improved so has his Defense. He's not fast so he won't win a lot of races to the puck but he's strong as hell on his skates. I think the islanders whole defence system was non existent last year so to actually try and get a good read of what Tavaras can do defensivly is unfair.

Career is quite easily Stamkos, now and going forward probably Tavares.
