Would easily have over 500 if it wasn't for his injury's.

No kidding... It's amazing how he's gone through so many ups and downs and yet last night's goal showed he is still 1a/1b to Ovechkin any given night as to who the best pure shooter in the world is depending on how hot they're feeling that night. It's a battle of two titans. One I'd say OV has had the better of but I'm not bitching when Stamkos has his nights where he's just as great.

Honorable mention to Pat Laine because he's had a Stamkosian shot since he was a prospect in Finland

Stamkos hit the ice for his first regular-season game with the Lightning on Oct. 4, 2008 at O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic – one of five players to make their NHL debut overseas that day (also Vladimir Mihalik w/ TBL, Janne Niskala w/ TBL, Paul Bissonnette w/ PIT and Lauri Korpikski w/ NYR). Prior to that day, 15 players had made their League debut in a regular-season game contested outside North America.

A little more than 11 years later, Stamkos (398-381—779 in 759 GP) now needs two goals to reach 400 in his NHL career. Should he hit the mark in Sweden (760 GP or 761 GP), Stamkos would become the 21st-fastest player in League history to accumulate 400 regular season goals. Regardless of when he hits the mark, Stamkos is on track to become the second-fastest active player to reach the milestone behind Alex Ovechkin (634 GP on Dec. 20, 2013).

Speaking of faceoffs, Cirelli takes the most on the entire team and he's awful at it:

I assume it's because Stamkos played wing to start the year and Point was injured. Faceoffs are something that genereally comes with experiance.

And just imagine if there were no leg injuries.

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos (1-1—2) scored the 400th regular-season goal of his NHL career (400-386—786 in 763 GP). He became the seventh active NHL player to reach the 400-goal mark and required the second-fewest games to reach the milestone among that cohort, behind Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin (400-375—775 in 634 GP).

He's so good right now. He's good whether he's scoring or not. good in all situations, and on and on and on. Two years ago he scored 86 points and it felt like he didn't play well at all, especially down the stretch. This year I don't even care how many points he scores. He's an amazing player, who suddenly seems to make no negative plays.

He really has been awesome this season. He’s rediscovered his shooting touch in general, not just from his “office” with his patented one-timers. The last two goals he scored were quick little wristers that were so precisely placed it was a bit spooky.

Plus, there is no doubt that he is the captain of this team this year. If that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense. I feel like the guy has been coddled too long in terms of really taking the reigns in the locker room. It is important to note that his captaincy and the arrival of Ryan Callahan coincided but I believe with all my heart that it hindered Stamkos from ever wanting to be the alpha male of the locker room. For his entire tenure here we heard about what an important leader Callahan was. And meanwhile, I see the guy with the actual "C" on his chest slinking off the ice like a beaten dog after every playoff loss and doing it in the regular season when things are tough. It makes me think that after all these years Stamkos' sack had not dropped yet. It's not like I have wondered why I have called for him to be stripped of his captaincy as many times as I have.

Just please Steven... do whatever it takes to get us over that hump.

Crazy to think he'd be realistically chasing 600 next were it not for injuries
