Rumor: Stefan Noesen and Andrew MacDonald PTO to ARI

The Coyotes have spoken to both defenseman Andrew MacDonald and forward Stefan Noesen about attending Coyotes camp on professional try-outs (PTOs), according to league sources.
MacDonald, 32, was bought out by the Philadelphia Flyers and tallied nine points in 47 games last season. Noesen, 27, is a former first-round pick who totaled eight points (three goals, five assists) in 41 games with the New Jersey Devils last season

I like Noesen, had a real good season for the Devils a couple years ago but just didn't have it last season. Hope he wins a spot.

I think Noesen belongs in NHL, he's at worst serviceable 4th liner. Hoping he gets his spot in Arizona.

I mean, sure. Why not?

I think Arizona has better options for their 4th line and 3rd pair. But a PTO is never a bad thing. There's lots of pre-season games, and the guaranteed roster guys shouldn't have to play them all.

I'd be happy if either guy lands an NHL contract, but I doubt it will be with the Coyotes, if they do. Maybe AMac as a #7D.
