This thread is one I always look forward to every year. Could I ask that you knowledgeable people who are contributing info, please mention when these steals were drafted? It's kinda hard to tell why they're steals without knowing where they were picked. Thanks!

Didn't Josh Kidd go in the last round? I think that may turn out to be one of the smarter picks.

The Kings picked Kidd in the last round. He is a horse, I hope for good things from him!

Mark Katic I thought would go a lot higher. 2nd round at least.

I thought that Kent Patterson should've went much higher. Some teams really missed the boat on him, IMO.

I think the Rangers got a late round steal in Max Campbell. I thought he'd be gone by the 3rd.

Oscar Moller is going to make tons of teams pay. IMO he is a guy with potential, but yet safe. He should end up as a #2 centerman, and if his offensive billing doesn't live up he can still be a fine 3rd line center. Absolute steal IMO.

I think LA got two in the 7th with Kidd and Fillier.

Andersson to Detroit in the 3rd was huge IMO; I thought he'd go top-40.

Definitely. I still can't believe he lasted until late in the 6th round. Detroit always seems to get steals late in the draft.

Right I didn't see the Mid-Term heading I guess. Could Radim have been picked earlier?
